Nurse Well-Being: The Burnout Dilemma
Tracking # 20-848524
Course overview
Researchers who have completed various studies of nurse burnout have found that 40 to 60 percent of nurses have at least one of the three main symptoms of burnout-that is, emotional exhaustion, cynicism, or low sense of personal accomplishment. When nurses are burned out, they do not enjoy their work. The toll is personally high, their patients may recognize it, and clinical outcomes are sometimes affected. This presentation will discuss aspects of nurse burnout, its causes and how to recognize it. We'll suggest steps you can take if you feel you have some of the symptoms.
