Empathy and Cultural Humility - Part 1: African Americans, Latinx Americans, and Asian Americans - Video

Course overview

Participants will be able to describe Hays approach to identify how their belonging to various dominant or minority groups can impact their cultural awareness, will be able to describe their historical knowledge of how Blacks, Latinx and Asian Americans have struggled with violence, oppression or discrimination, will be able to describe how to use their knowledge of racial/ethnic trauma as well as health disparities to better assess the groups of focus in this course, and will be able to name strength- based interventions which are culturally adapted to each of these groups.
