In the United States, cancer is the second leading cause of death. It can impact people of all ages, races, ethnicities, and sexes. Cancer, classified as a disease, creates the body's cells to grow out of control and spread to other body areas. As healthcare professionals, it is essential to be aware of these various types of cancers and the factors that can increase the potential for cancer to occur. In the course, Head and Neck Cancers, we cover cancers of the mouth, throat, and the voice box. We discuss several symptoms, stages of cancer, possible treatment, and rehabilitation procedures.
