Cornerstones 10: Formative Assessment

Course overview

Formative assessment techniques are excellent for keeping classes fun and engaging for students while making sure instructors can keep their finger on the pulse of student progress. As instructors formatively assess during classroom learning experiences, they can shift gears when they see and hear learning gaps and avoid students getting lost or behind. This course, the 10th in Cornerstones: The ABMP Instructor Development Program, provides instructors a wide variety of strategies and activities that instructors can use to evaluate student comprehension, learning needs, and academic progress throughout a lesson, unit, or course and support students to become self-directed learners.
