Podcast: Functional Neurologic Disorders: A Primer
Tracking # 20-851040
Course overview
Did you know the diagnosis of functional neurologic disorder (FND) accounts for almost 20% of referrals to movement disorder clinics? FND is an "umbrella" diagnosis which covers a variety of clinical presentations linked to impairments of the right temporal-parietal junction. How do we, as clinicians, identify these patients? Once identified, what are the most effective interventions and what team members should be involved? This 1-hour audio-only course for intermediate and advanced clinicians will do a deep dive into the pathophysiology of this disorder, common clinical presentations, and effective interventions. A series of case studies will be discussed modeling clinical judgment and decision making.
