Course overview
In this webinar, participants learned about the characteristics of a supportive supervisory climate to implement with their supervisees. Characteristics of a defensive climate were explored for better awareness of what features to avoid in a supervisory relationship. Example scenarios were used to illustrate examples of how to establish supportive vs. defensive climates. The value of soft skills is explored as a focus of skill development in supervised students and interns. Finally, specific recommendations were given for the supervision of graduate interns.
