Jewish Identity, Diversity, and Anti-Semitism: Considerations for Working with Jewish Students

Course overview

This presentation will provide information about different factors to consider when working with Jewish students. Participants will learn about Jewish identity as a religion and ethnicity with unique culture traditional and values. They will also learn about diversity within Jewish community, inclusive of Jewish movements and intersectionality. The impacts of anti-Semitism and intergenerational trauma from the Holocaust will also be explored to better understand the impact of these experiences on Jewish students feelings of safety and connection.
