Course overview

Osteoarthritis (OA) is a common condition treated by physical and occupational therapy professionals. In this module, therapists will learn to differentiate OA affecting the upper extremity from similar musculoskeletal and autoimmune conditions. Using clinical examination findings, learners will apply evidence-based techniques to improve pain and function and support their clients in lifelong management. Expectations for outcomes and progress are presented, along with indications for when to refer for medical management.
