Treating non-suicidal self-injurious behavior is critical, as it is associated with a host of negative outcomes including an increased risk for suicide. In this course, you will learn how to identify signs of non-suicidal self-injurious behavior. You will explore the various functions this behavior serves for those who engage in it, and how you can effectively work with individuals to modify these maladaptive coping strategies.
