Building a Healthy Therapeutic Relationship

Course overview

A strong therapeutic relationship has been consistently identified as a moderate, but robust predictor of positive outcomes among clients and among one of the strongest predictors of treatment success documented by empirical research (Fluckiger et al., 2020; Horvath et al., 2011). This course will focus on how to develop a strong therapeutic relationship by helping clinicians understand the quality of the therapeutic relationship, know effective interactions to build healthy relationships, and prepare for the challenges within the process of developing a healthy relationship.
