Pediatric: Assessing Pain

Course overview

Pain occurs across the age spectrum, including in children. Pain is often underestimated and undertreated in this age group due to many factors. This course will discuss pain assessment strategies used for different ages and developmental levels. It will also discuss acute and chronic pain management interventions. Without proper recognition and pain management, childrens health outcomes are directly impacted and quality of life is reduced.
