Course overview
The nurse practitioners role in patient assessment includes the evaluation of social determinants of health that influence health outcomes, identification of individual health risk factors, and the implementation of preventive and diagnostic procedures based on the patients specific characteristics. The goal of this course is to prepare advanced practice nurses for the Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Board Certification (AGACNP-BC) exam by formulating a plan of care based on patients health risk factors.
