Course overview
An interprofessional team is composed of members from various practices who interact, communicate, and share information from their own disciplinary perspectives. An interprofessional approach is care coordinated by a team of professionals who collaborate to offer their expertise to the patients plan of care. In order for this collaboration to be effective, members of the interprofessional team must learn to communicate and work together to provide optimal patient outcomes. The goal of this course is to enhance the knowledge and ability of nurses, health educators, dietitians, and radiology technologists in the acute care setting to work as cohesive members of the interprofessional team.
