Course overview

Traumatic experiences impact how survivors navigate stress and emotions for long after the abuse ends. This live webinar teaches key principles of the social resilience model to advocacy work with domestic violence surivors and helps participants identify strategies for responding to crisis and promoting de-escalation within the context of their role. Using a trauma-informed lens, advocates will also learn practice skills to increase a sense of personal calm and safety while working with survivors in crisis. Trainers are Sonia Ferencik, LISW-S, RA, ODVN and Wendy Ricks-Hoff, Ohio Victim Witness Associaton. The fee is $25 for non-members of ODVN and free for members.
