Course overview

*Educate patients on the function of soft tissues and the benefits of deep tissue muscle and fascial release. *Describe the development of scar tissue and adhesions in fascia, connective tissue, muscles, tendons, ligaments and joint capsules. *Perform postfacilitation stretch to the upper extremity, lower extremity and spine. *Perform somatic technique for the upper extremity, lower extremity and spine. *Utilize active release with your patient population. *Perform postisometric relaxation for the upper extremity, lower extremity and spine. *Apply therapeutic exercise and rehabilitative stretching with patients.
