Comprehensive Update in Management of Diabetes Mellitus and Obesity Including Role of Bariatric Surgery At the conclusion of this program, the participant will be able to: Summarize recommendations from clinical practice guidelines regarding diabetes. Discuss clinical evidence and place in therapy for oral diabetes and GLP-1 agonist agents. Discuss the growing evidence and role of SGLT2 inhibitors within diabetes and non-diabetes patients. Analyze role of bariatric surgery in management of morbid obesity and diabetes. Describe complications and medication-related changed post-bariatric surgery. Evaluate and develop medication regimens post-bariatric surgery through case studies.
