Course overview

The 15 CE credit hour deep tissue massage home study course is a combined principle and technique course. It is an intermediate course that is open to all licensed massage therapists. This course will teach valuable deep tissue massage techniques. The visual guides throughout the text are state-of-the-art. This course will take you on a journey through the body teaching valuable deep tissue massage techniques. After purchase, you will receive a text book, exam of 86 questions, muscle completion charts, practice exercises, answer sheet, course evaluation, return envelope and a course guide which includes all of the directions needed to successfully complete your course. You complete the exam using the answer sheet and fill out the course evaluation form. Then use the return envelope to mail answer sheet and course evaluation back to us for grading. Passing score is 80%, CE credits awarded are 15. After completing this course the learner will be able to: - Perform a basic deep tissue massage - Understand the benefits of deep tissue massage - Possess the knowledge of contraindications and precautions to deep tissue massage - Use proper body mechanics in performing a deep tissue massage - Demonstrate strategies for positioning the client properly to facilitate the greatest benefit - Integrate deep tissue massage techniques in to their own massage practice
