This course provides 1.75 credit hours of continuing education for professionals, incorporating media-based video lectures and lesson tests in curricular modules. The course focuses on the benefits of engaging the workforce and of establishing a positive work culture. It addresses common qualities of engaged employees, drivers of employee motivation, and commitment challenges. Participants learn how employee engagement links to the bottom line by reducing turnover, best practices for creating a positive work environment, and the benefits of establishing a positive and engaged workforce, its characteristics, and concrete steps to creating one. The course explores the signs and impacts of negativity, as well as taking corrective action, if necessary, to engage employees.
