Remote Management Techniques in Cardiac Care: Clinicians as Coaches
Tracking # 20-867108
Course overview
Therapy professionals are equipped with a skill set to evaluate and treat patients with a variety of cardiac conditions. With the appropriate training and knowledge, therapists can apply this skill set to remote monitoring of patients, which is proving to be an effective way to manage this large population of older adults under our care. Often, remote interventions are the only way that patients can receive the interventions that they need. You must be an expert in interpreting data collected through the remote process, respond appropriately, and apply and translate the information into an action plan for the patient. Through this process, therapists will need to recognize their role as a quasi-mentor, teacher, and coach to facilitate patients' ability to self-manage their health conditions.
