Describe the pathophysiologic changes associated with shock, ARDS and prone positioning, and extracorporeal membrane oxygenation 2. Recognize the risks and benefits of providing EN in circulatory shock, in prone position, and during ECMO 3. Identify signs and symptoms of EN intolerance in unstable critically ill patients and interventions to help manage them NOTE: An annual subscription for Purdue's nutrition support pharmacy re-certification program provides access to both the continuing education component of the program and the "Professional Resources" for practitioners. Subscriptions to the continuing educational offerings, which have been accredited through ACPE and BPS, can be purchased for an annual fee of $195 for pharmacists.
