This 4 hour CE with Magnus Eklund BCSI, Founder SSI, LMT 144 (MS) & Bobbi Eklund LMT 2629 (MS), CSSI, does NOT have pre-requisites. Open to LMT's and other hands-on professionals - Synergetic Myofascial Therapy is a form of massage that teaches participants to safely release fascial and muscular tension in the body in a 10 session format. In this short course we will present the fundamental concepts and strategies of SMT which is inspired by the work of Dr Ida P Rolf, joint ROM techniques, functional movements and vibrational bodywork. We will look at the anatomy of fascia and fascial lines and how to create structural balance in the human body. Learning outcome: After completion participants will understand fundamental concepts of fascial work, fascial anatomy and lines, postural and functional movement assessments and hands on techniques including "scooping" (opening) fascia in synergy with active client movements. Objectives: 1. Participants will describe and identify fascial anatomy of the A) front, B) back and C) side body. 2. Participants will demonstrate in lab 6 fascial hands on techniques. 3. Participants will observe a LIVE demonstration of Synergetic Myofascial Techniques of the A) front, B) back and C) side body. 4. Participants will demonstrate in lab 6 active client movements in synergy with hands-on fascial techniques. This method of myofascial work teaches massage therapists how to conserve energy and the use of safe body mechanics.
