Course overview

This course provides 2.50 hours of continuing education for professionals, incorporating media-based video lectures and lesson tests in curricular modules. A key part of Lean process improvement is the process control phase, which aims to ensure that agreed actions for the new process design are being carried out correctly and consistently. Learners explore common Lean Six Sigma control tools used in business process improvement projects, such as control plans. Additionally, course participants learn about control charts, how they are developed, and how they are used to monitor process performance. The course addresses why documentation is so important to maintaining process control. This course aligns with ASQ's 2015 Six Sigma Yellow Belt Body of Knowledge. Course participants learn about common Lean tools used to improve process design and facilitate process control, including kaizen, kaizen blitz, and the plan-do-check-act (PDCA) cycle. Finally, learners gain an understanding of how to carry out a cost-benefit analysis, an important tool used during the process improvement process.
