This course provides 3.75 hours of continuing education for professionals, incorporating media-based video lectures and lesson tests in curricular modules. Six Sigma and Lean are business process improvement methodologies. When used together, they are called Lean Six Sigma and can become a transformational process improvement strategy that enables a system of process control and process design to supercharge your business. This course covers concepts and basic methods for measurement system analysis and GR and R studies. It aligns with the ASQ Body of Knowledge and assists Yellow Belt candidates in achieving certification. The course addresses process control and the basic types of data, such as qualitative and quantitative data, as well as measurement scales. Course participants learn the elements of a data collection plan and how to use data collection tools, such as surveys and checklists, to improve process design. This course aligns to the ASQ Body of Knowledge, and assists Yellow Belt candidates toward achieving certification. The course introduces the measure stage of a six-sigma project and the basic statistical tools used for measuring its performance. The DMAIC methodology enables performance-related data to be summarized in a meaningful way by using statistical measures.
