Course overview

Femoroacetabular Impingement (FAI) is a clinical syndrome in which the anatomic abnormalities of the femoral head and/or the acetabulum result in an abnormal contact between the two during hip motion, especially in positions of hip flexion and rotation, leading to cartilage and labral damage and hip pain. It is often mistakenly diagnosed as Osteoarthritis hip. FAI syndrome is the most common cause of hip-related pain, and is defined as a motion-related disorder of the hip joint caused by a collision between the head-neck junction of the femur with the acetabular rim due to cam and/or pincer morphology. This repetitive mechanical loading may result in acetabular labral and cartilage injuries. This webinar is packed with information related to pathophysiology, population demographics, symptomatology covering Pincer, cam and combination FAI. Radiographic findings and evidence based rehabilitation techniques.
