Course overview
Recent studies have focused on more detailed characterizations of endocervical adenocarcinomas which are not HPV driven. Additionally, the 5th edition of the WHO Classification of Tumours-Female Genital Tumours has been recently released. Using clinical cases, this presentation aims to highlight recent updates in the morphologic diagnosis and workup of both HPV-associated and HPV-independent invasive endocervical adenocarcinomas. After this presentation, participants will be able to: 1) Describe updates from the 5th edition of the WHO Classification of Tumours-Female Genital Tumours (Uterine Cervix) 2) Recognize HPV-associated adenocarcinomas of the endocervix pattern-based assessment of invasive carcinoma (Silva classification) 3) Identify HPV-independent adenocarcinomas of the endocervix based on International Endocervical Adenocarcinoma Criteria and Classification (IECC) and proposed algorithmic workup
