Course overview

The purpose of this course is to provide health care professionals with an overview of the problem of medical errors, factors contributing to the occurrence of these errors, and steps that can be taken by institutions and individual care providers to reduce medical errors in key care settings. Course Objectives At the conclusion of this course, the participant will be able to: Recognize common performance and diagnostic errors Describe the elements of a root cause analysis Identify risk management measures designed to prevent dental errors and increase patient's safety
