This program will update nurses' knowledge of new and diverse treatment options for diabetes mellitus. After studying the information presented here, you will be able to: identify the role of DPP-4 inhibitors in maintaining glucose homeostasis, describe nursing considerations when caring for people with diabetes who are using DPP-4 inhibitors, and describe nursing considerations when caring for people with diabetes who are using inhaled insulin therapy.
