Course overview

According to the National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research (Part of NIH): TMJ Dysfunction (TMJD) is the second most commonly occurring musculoskeletal condition resulting in pain and disability preceded only by chronic low back pain. NIH estimates that 5 to 12% of the population suffers from TMJD. After completing this course each participant will be able to identify the major muscles involved in TM joint movement, better understand the causes of TMJ pain, and apply specific Swedish techniques to help reduce TMJ pain. Day Two includes deep neck work, intra-oral work and additional hands-on practice time.
