Review and explain the racial and ethnic disparities in health care. Explain the role of health care providers and organizations as mechanisms to reduce racial and ethnic disparities in health care. Explain how language and communication of the health care provider can be a barrier to establishing relationships. Identify tools that can foster empathy for differing cultures.
