Course overview

This course examines Mindfulness-based interventions in the treatment of substance use disorders, using mindfulness techniques to address behavior change in addictive behavior. It includes: Mindfulness-based relapse prevention (MBRP), mechanisms of behavior change, Mindfulness oriented recovery enhancement (MORE), Mindful awareness in body-oriented therapy (MABT), Mindfulness training for smoking cessation (MTS), and Moment-by-moment in Women's recovery (MMWR). An overview of the protocol for each approach is given, as well as a literature review.
