Being Survey Ready
Tracking # 20-876770
Course overview
Long-term care organizations are regulated by federal, state, and local guidelines. These guidelines are in place to ensure that the individuals who reside in these facilities are provided the highest level of care to maintain their quality of life. These organizations undergo routine surveys to remain in compliance with the federal, state, and local guidelines. It is important for you to know how to adequately prepare for and participate in a survey. In this course, you will learn about the basic survey process, how to identify common areas for survey violations, and guidelines for proper conduct during a survey. Without these routine surveys, organizations would not be held accountable for their actions, which would result in poor resident care and quality of life for the residents. The goal of this course is to educate direct care workers and general staff in skilled nursing facilities and assisted living facilities on preparing for a survey.
