Course overview
Emergency services personnel will respond to many situations involving behavioral emergencies. Some of these emergencies will be the result of an injury or acute illness of the patient. Others will be the result of mental illness or the use of mind-altering substances. Mental health issues incapacitate more people than all other health problems combined. This course discusses how EMS providers should approach these situations.
