Sepsis, Severe Sepsis and Septic Shock are significant healthcare concern for the U.S. population because of its high prevalence, morbidity, mortality and medical costs. Mortality from sepsis increases 8% for every hour that antibiotic treatment is delayed. Sepsis is a leading cause of death in U.S. hospitals. This course provides a review of the Sepsis Clinical Pathway at Baptist Health South Florida.
