Course overview

People with intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD) are oftentimes diagnosed with a seizure disorder, as well. The nurse providing care to the person with I/DD must keep this is mind when performing their assessments, documenting seizure activity, training staff on anatomy and physiology of the seizure disorder, developing precautions, training staff on medications, and developing reasonable and clearly written desired outcomes and interventions. This nursing round table will discuss all these topics, and provide a space for discussion and collaboration.
