Course overview
Early rehabilitation can reduce the adverse effects associated with intensive care unit (ICU) stays, including muscle weakness, declines in cardiopulmonary function, and pressure injuries. Through case scenarios, this course will provide an overview of the value of rehabilitation in the ICU, the importance of understanding lab values, electrocardiograms, monitoring devices, and best practice for communicating with the interdisciplinary team.
