Herbal Poultice Massage (Luk Pra Kob)

Course overview

Luk Pra Kob or Thai Herbal Poultice is one of the treasures of Thai traditional medicine for over 400 years. In this class we will explore the use of herbal poultices in a variety of applications. Students will learn about herbs commonly used in Thailand to help relieve repetitive strain, pain and discomfort in muscles and joints and much more. We will also learn about herbs found in the west that can be adapted into these treatments. Included in the tuition of the class is a PDF guidebook and class materials to make compresses. Learn how to give an herbal poultice massage to enhance your massage sessions. You do not have to currently practice Thai Massage to take this class as we will learn how to integrate the herbal poultice into any other massage treatment. With the new knowledge of these botanicals you will be ready to add a new service to your menu. By the end of the class, students will have partnered up with other therapists in class and practiced hands on herbal poultice massage techniques.
