Foundations of Eastern Philosophy & Medicine (Foundational Workshop)

Course overview

The presentation will address the close relationship between ancient and current perspectives of Chinese medicine and music, to maintain and/or improve one's overall well-being and contribute to one's longevity. The presentation will focus on the foundational tenants of acupuncture and acupressure, discussing successful approaches to deal with the effects of PTSD, as well as common neurological conditions, such as Parkinson's Disease. The workshop will conclude with some simple hands-on demonstrations of Tai Chi movements to help alleviate stress and musculoskeletal discomfort.
