Course overview

Based on athletic training philosophy, music educators and performing musicians are offered a series of 20-minute targeted pedagogical modules, encouraging proper technique fundamentals for students during warm-ups, practice and rehearsal sessions, and warm downs, organized into 6 music categories: voice, strings, winds, brass, percussion, and piano. Participants will come away with practical applications of technique fundamentals, proper body posture/positions, and breath control, raising their pedagogical awareness of encouraging healthier playing habits in their students within the 6 instruments categories listed above.
