Pediatric care in the prehospital setting is paramount when treating trauma in a child. Prehospital responders are often the first to provide much needed life-saving care as well as directed care. Knowing that traumatic injuries in children are a leading cause of morbidity and mortality in children, it is imperative that prehospital responders are trained to increase quality in care and improve quality outcomes.
