Course overview
A fundamental skill in the clinical setting is the ability to identify neuromuscular control deficits. Once identified, the clinician is tasked with teaching patients how to perform varied types of movement to restore function. The rehabilitation specialist must have a comprehensive understanding of the scientific principles behind human neuromuscular control. This scientific knowledge then must be communicated in an accessible manner to your patients to help address their needs. This course will cover the principles of neuromuscular control and how it is applied in the clinical setting. Also covered will be the processes behind motor control/neuromuscular development and how it is applied across the varied populations that are encountered in the clinical setting.
