This program will provide nurses with information about the HPV vaccine for prevention of cervical cancer and related diseases. After studying the information presented here, you will be able to: describe the criteria for which this vaccine has been approved for use in the United States, discuss the incidence of HPV and manifestations of infection, and discuss education for the patient and parent/guardian about HPV and its sequelae.
