Course overview

The concept of Tian Gui is not always well understood. This course takes you on a cultural journey from its origins in esoteric theory through to its clinical application in genuine case studies. The course covers its conceptual origins, the 10 heavenly stems and 12 earthly branches, the 28 constellations, the Four Guardian Spirits and its place in the Five Element system. We examine descriptions and definitions in classic literature, its functions in accordance with Chinese medicine, and the concordance of those functions with modern biological theory.
