Course overview
Hospice is an approach to end of life care that respects and honors each person-centered preferences that reflect the values, culture, preferences, and needs of an individual. It is important for nurses that work with persons covered under hospice care to understand the hospice approach to care in order to provide person-centered, quality end of life services in order to properly address and manage care. While this learning activity is targeted for nurses, social workers and other professionals will benefit from the exploration of the foundations of the dimensions of care that align with provision of person-centered hospice care.
