Dr. Heiner Fruehauf's series on Chinese herbal medicine deepens the lifelong learners mastery of Chinese herbal prescribing by rooting their understanding in classical principles. In this first session devoted to the Chaihu family of formulas, Heiner describes the energetic properties of Chaihu as a chief herb, and provides participants with a working knowledge of the qualities of and indications for the main herb pairings used to achieve specific targeted effects, including those of Chaihu with Banxia (Pinellia), Guizhi (Cinnamon), Gegen (Pueraria), Baishao (Peony), and Dahuang (Rhubarb).
