The Epidemic of Non-Fatal Strangulation - Multimedia Version - 2 Contact Hours
Tracking # 20-886894
Course overview
The literature reports little research in examining strangulation related to Intimate Partner Violence or Sexual Assault, yet clinically, so much more is being learned. This important forensic video course carefully presents the dynamics of non-fatal strangulation related to domestic and rape situations. Because of the dynamics of excessive external pressure being placed on the individual's neck, the clinical history and presenting signs and symptoms often underrepresent the significance of injury to the individual. This comprehensive 2 hour course presents the significance of the problem, clinical evaluation, diagnostic requirements, and ongoing care. In addition are resources available to the clinician.
