Course overview

This course provides physical and occupational therapy professionals with an overview of the role of the somatosensory, visual, and vestibular systems in maintaining balance. Learners will gain an understanding of the physiology of these three systems, how to assess for impairment, and how to use results to guide interventions to improve balance and help minimize the patient's risk of experiencing a fall.
