Course overview

Explore massaging the suboccipital muscles through anatomy lessons, expert trigger point education, and demonstration of effective release techniques. The subboccipital muscles at the base of the skull are commonly aggravated by modern living.  Tilting the head forward for a long time at a computer, looking down at a phone, or slouching can constantly tense these stabilizing muscles in your clients.  As well, tension in the suboccipitals has a deep relationship to the stress response.  Any of your clients who are stressed will love the work you learn in this course. Gain further knowledge about the relationship of the suboccipital muscles to headaches, scoliosis, and posture dysfunction. After discussion of the anatomy, trigger points, pain referral patterns, symptoms and common causes of tension in the suboccipitals, learn highly effective treatment methods including the release of trigger points in the subocciptals.
