Course overview
The lymphatic drainage massage post-surgery will clear lymph congestion, reduces swelling and fluid retention from surgery, speeds wound healing, oxygenates the cells, detoxifies the skin cells minimizing scar tissue build up and reduce fibrocystic conditions. After completing the seminar the student will: Acknowledge the anatomy and physiology of the lymphatic system Acknowledge the benefits of lymphatic drainage after an injury or a surgery List indications, precautions and contraindications Able to use the appropriate technique to help drain excess of fluid Demonstrate proper body mechanics during the treatment Identify the lymphatic organs Trace the lymphatic vessels of the body Be able to identify the major lymphatic watersheds Be able to identify the major categories of immunity Will be able to acknowledge the benefits of massage to the lymphatic system Will able to demonstrate where the lymph drains from each part of the body Will acknowledge the locations of the lymph nodes through out the body
