Course overview

This 1-hour online module is designed to help you increase your scientific knowledge around recent approvals of combination immuno-oncology (I-O) therapies, emerging I-O biomarkers, and biomarker testing challenges through a combination of lecture, digital slide images, and authentic, engaging patient cases and scenarios. The presenters will also address techniques for overcoming common barriers and common myths and misconceptions related to biomarker testing. This module addresses: Newly approved combinations of I-O therapies and their indications Emerging I-O biomarkers (eg, LAG3, MGMT, TIL) - Mechanisms of action Ability to predict response to checkpoint inhibitor therapy Ongoing investigational efforts Novel uses of established biomarkers such as PD-L1, MSI/MMR, and TMB to determine suitability for therapy and to assess patient response to I-O therapies Considerations for the testing and interpretation of current and emerging biomarkers Learning Objectives: Upon completion of this activity, you should be able to: Discuss newly approved combinations of immunotherapies and their indications Describe ongoing investigational efforts regarding emerging biomarkers (eg, LAG3, MGMT, TIL), including their mechanisms of action and ability to predict response to checkpoint inhibitor therapy Discuss considerations for the testing and interpretation of current and emerging biomarkers (eg, PD-L1, CD8, CD4, MSI/MMR, TMB, LAG3, MGMT, TIL)
