Course overview

Integrated Restoration Technique is a comprehensive approach toward treatment of soft tissue pain, dysfunction and sport performance utilizing the following: Structural assessment, Structural alignment, Myofascial Mobilization, Muscle Energy Technique and Russian medical massage. Fascia is a layer of fibrous tissue that surrounds muscles, groups of muscles, blood vessels, and nerves, binding some structures together while permitting others to slide smoothly over each other. This class is a Direct Fascial technique with thirty specific routines included. Fascia is continuous with specialized elements of fascia such as tendons and ligaments. Tendons and ligaments share with the general fascia collagen fibers, elastic fibers, cellular elements and ground substances. Mechanorecptors and proprioceptors are found in these specialized elements and report to the brain and spinal cord information on body position and movement. By working with the fascial envelope you can begin to correct any mal-alignments of the body including: postural, positional, work or sport related, as well as physical and emotional issues. This class is a Direct Fascial technique class designed to align the body from top to bottom, front to back and side to side. This class is designed to be PAIN FREE. This is not a chiropractic course.
